We're all Americans

I was just reading another of those political blogs when something that was said struck me like lightening. When we use the phrase "We are all Americans" what exactly does that mean? In North America we have the United States, but we also have Canada as well as Mexico, and that just covers North America. What we need to do is have respect for others, regardless of where they are from. Just a little food for thought.

My First Post

I have not yet decided what to use this blog to discuss. It must be something in which I am interested.

I guess the best way to start would be to make a list of my interests and use that to write future posts. The following are my interests:

• Politics
• Family
• History
• Literature
• Hot Sauces
• Genealogy
• Travel

I'll just have to look at these interests and use them to design this blog. By the time I'm done it should look like the inside of my head (now that's scary!).
